What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in attending electronic dance music shows and meeting other people who love electronic dance music. This includes a wide range of subgenres (trance, house, techno, electro, DnB, breakbeats, psy-trance, etc.), and all are welcome!
The main idea of the group is about meeting up in person with other people. This makes attending shows more fun and has been great for people new to Austin. Usually we meet before the show for drinks then head to the show together. The organizers can't attend every event - so all members need to take the lead on making this happen. Don't be afraid to be the first person to post a comment and suggest meeting in a bar near the venue! The best way to organize this is in the comments field to a meetup - checking how many comments there are is a good way to see if there is a good group forming and to meet new people ahead of the show (don't just rely on the RSVP count as an indication of this if you want to meetup with a group).
We will try and highlight as "Featured Events" at the top of the page the nights which have a large group going that is likely to meetup.
