About us
Making friends as an adult is harder than it should be.
Not because people aren’t open to it, but because most social situations don’t give you a reason to see the same people again.
ComonThread is built around a simple idea: friendships tend to grow from repeated, low-pressure time together.
We form small groups of 4 people who meet once a week for 4 weeks around a simple shared activity; something you’d probably be doing anyway.
The goal isn’t the activity itself. The activity just makes it easier to relax, show up consistently, and let conversation happen naturally over time.
How it works:
- Join this Meetup group and fill out the short matching form.
- We match you into a small group based on availability, age range, and overall fit.
- Once your group is ready, I’ll reach out with next steps and add everyone into a WhatsApp group before the first virtual session.
- Your group meets once a week for 4 weeks (~45 mins each session).
Current cohort types:
• Cook-along Thread — make dinner in your own kitchen while hanging out
• Wind-down Thread — end your day with a drink and conversation
• Life-Admin Thread — get through your to-do list with some company
Same structure. Different vibe.
A few important things to know:
• This is not a one-time event — groups are forming continuously.
• Cohorts stay intentionally small to keep conversations comfortable and consistent.
• Once your group is confirmed, there’s a small $15 commitment fee for the full 4-week cycle to reserve your place in the cohort.
• And if after the first virtual session it genuinely doesn’t feel like a fit, just let me know and I’m happy to refund you.
Over a few weeks, people tend to settle in, conversations become more natural, and it starts to feel less like meeting strangers each time.
If one of the formats sounds like something you’d genuinely enjoy showing up for, you’re probably a good fit 🙂
