What we’re about
About the Austin Hiking Club
The Austin Hiking Club is a new community centered around hiking, backpacking, camping, and outdoor adventure. We aim to stand out by organizing more challenging hikes and building a group of fit, active, and motivated hikers who enjoy pushing themselves and connecting with nature.
Our typical day hikes involve meeting at the trailhead, hiking the planned route, and optionally grabbing food together afterward. All experience levels are welcome, but participants should be prepared for physically demanding trails and self-sufficient while outdoors.
Important Note
Organizers are not professional guides. All participants assume their own risk and are responsible for their own safety and well-being. Know your limits, check the weather, stay hydrated, and make sure you’re physically prepared for each outing.
We follow Leave No Trace principles and adhere to all laws, park regulations, and basic trail etiquette to protect our wild spaces and respect other trail users.
