👋 Overview

Join fellow music producers in Austin for an evening dedicated to networking and collaboration. Producers of all experience levels and genres are welcome!

We will be gathering in Antone on the 16th floor of Capital Factory, a startup incubator and coworking hub. Located at 701 Brazos St, the venue shares a building with Omni Austin Hotel. Free and paid parking options are available around the block, along with $8 validated parking in the underground garage.

🔥 Intro to Ableton

When I first opened Ableton, I was overwhelmed and had no idea what I was looking at. What helped most were live walkthroughs that broke things down and gave me the confidence to start creating. That's what this workshop is all about.

We'll build a track together from scratch. You'll learn how to create a bassline, melody, and drums, and how to arrange everything into a full song. Along the way, we'll cover writing MIDI notes, picking synth sounds, importing samples, adding effects, and basic mixing using the arrangement view.

To follow along, bring your laptop with the free 30-day trial of Ableton Live 12 installed, and a pair of headphones so you can hear your own music while working in the room. Test your setup ahead of time if you can. If you need help, come early and I'll help you get sorted.

This workshop is for anyone new to music production, stuck trying to finish their first track, or artists who want to better understand how production works for smoother collaborations.
