Hike on Boggy Creek Greenbelt Trail in East Austin

Details
This hike and bike trail runs along Boggy Creek in East Austin. The trail is flat, paved or gravel, and much of it is shady. We'll pass the The Pillars Project, where concrete pillars for the Pleasant Valley Rd. overpass have been painted with murals to commemorate neighborhood history. We will walk the trail as far as MLK Blvd. and then come back. It will take about an hour and a half and the distance is about 2.5 miles.
We'll meet at the Conley-Guerrero Senior Activity Center at 808 Niles St. Parking is available on Niles St. and behind the center (turn left into the first driveway after the center and go around to the rear of the building). The trail runs along the parking lot there.
Wear good walking shoes and bring water. And please consider if you are in shape for this kind of walk, for your own safety and in consideration of others. Check this website for cancellation if the weather is questionable. See you there!
