Evening Halloween walk in historic Oakwood Cemetery ON YOUR OWN

This year's annual Murder, Mayhem & Misadventure Walking Tour at historic Oakwood Cemetery, organized by Save Austin's Cemeteries, is in the EVENING! This is one of our favorite events, but unfortunately we will not be here to lead a walk this year. The free tour tells the stories of the untimely deaths of some Oakwood “residents”, who are portrayed by actors at their grave sites. The tours highlight historical – not scary – events, and last about one hour.
45-minute tours depart every 15-20 minutes starting at 6:00 pm, with the final tour beginning at 8:30.
The tours usually start near the front of the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel on the central road. Wear good shoes. Bring water! And maybe a flashlight.
FREE ADMISSION with Free Parking! Parking is usually available on the street through the cemetery or on nearby side streets.
There are no fees, but donations to the cemetery are welcome. No ticket is required.
