Wednesday Evening Walk to 37th Street Lights and Hyde Park
Details
This week we will visit the quirky one block of 37th Street to see their unique annual display of holiday lights as well as maybe catching firewalkers and other festive sights.
After exploring this block, we will then meander through Hyde Park to look for other festive houses and yards. Beyond the Christmas lights, the neighborhood streets can be very dark, so if you have a flashlight or headlamp, please bring it along.
Our walk will cover about 3 1/2 miles in an hour and a half, walking at a steady pace with a few short breaks. The route will be easy and include mostly city streets.
**Our walk will begin at the trailhead in the Central Market on North Lamar's parking lot. The trailhead is located between The Gap and Williams-Sonoma.
As a suggestion, please consider wearing tennis shoes and bringing along water.
Additionally, please consider if you are fit for this kind of walk, for your own safety and the consideration of others.
If the weather looks questionable, please check this site for a cancellation.
Thank you and looking forward to walking with you on Wednesday!
