WATCH FOR WEATHER CANCELLATION IF IT IS RAINING.

A new trail extension off the hike and bike trail is opening this weekend. It's called the Waterloo Greenway Confluence. We'll walk west towards downtown and explore the new trail extension. The walk will cover about 3-4 miles in 1.5-2 hours. We'll meet at the Festival Beach Boat Ramp on Lady Bird Lake (on the NORTH side of the lake and EAST of I 35).

Directions: The boat ramp is located off Nash Hernandez Sr. Road. Nash Hernandez Sr. Rd (NH Rd) is the street that runs along the north side of the lake there. There is no street address to navigate by, but please check out the pinned location on the map.

Construction on I 35 has closed some previous routes. The easiest way to navigate is use your GPS to Festival Beach boat ramp, or go east on Cesar Chavez St. or Holly St. to Chicon St. Go south on Chicon to NH Rd., turn slightly left to stay on NH Rd. which dead ends at the lake. You can park anywhere along the street. This area is popular for paddleboarders, so you can also park in the nearby by parking lots.

Please consider if you are in shape for this kind of walk, for your own safety and in consideration of others. Check this website for cancellation if the weather is questionable. See you there!
