Jacobs Well Natural Area is an 81-acre preserve centered around a unique artisan spring that feeds the Cypress Creek, known for its deep, submerged cave system. The area is currently closed for swimming due to low water flow from drought and groundwater usage.

I've never been to Jacob's Well, but I've been curious about the area. I found that they do one-hour tours on Saturday at 10:00. I'm going if anyone wants to join me. Park in Parking Lot C by the Nature Center Pavilion. They ask us to be there by 9:50 so I suggest 9:45 so we can gather our group.

They recommend you bring water, good walking shoes, and a hat. We will travel on compacted granite and natural surface trails. The tours are not strenuous, but you will travel up and down several inclines and walk on rock ledges. At least 2 staircases are located along the tour route.

We can explore the trails afterwards if we want.
