Halloween walk in historic Oakwood Cemetery
Details
Big change: the tours are now at night so we have a different plan!
Let's take the 20th annual Murder, Mayhem & Misadventure Walking Tour at historic Oakwood Cemetery, organized by Save Austin's Cemeteries. This is one of our favorite events. The free tour tells the eerie stories of some Oakwood “residents” while walking through the historic cemetery. The tours highlight historical – not scary – events, and last about one hour. Please leave your pets at home per Austin cemetery rules and wear closed-toed shoes. Bring water!
This tour used to happen during the day and we would walk through the neighborhood to get there. But since it is now in the evening, please plan to use the free parking in the cemetery or on the neighboring streets.
We will meet next to the front gate at 1601 Navasota St. and then walk as a group to the signup table by the chapel.
There are no fees, but donations to the cemetery are welcome. No ticket is required. T
