This group is for those interested in the Austin WNBR. Especially if you are interested in volunteering to help in the next ride. We will also have periodic clothing optional get togethers.
The World Naked Bike Ride (WNBR) is an annual clothing-optional event held in cities around the globe. Participants gather and ride, (human powered transportation), together to protest the use of fossil fuels as well as to promote body positivity and bicycling!
The ATX WNBR is a fun, free event held every June and is open to anyone who would like to participate. Although the vast majority choose to ride bicycles, any human powered vehicle is acceptable. The route changes from year to year but is always designed for even the most novice of bicyclist.
This is a clothing-optional ride with the motto “Bare as you Dare!”. While nudity is technically illegal in the city of Austin, this has never been a problem with our friends at the Austin Police Department. They are always aware of the ride and route and typically smile and wave as we go by.
Riders are encouraged to be creative! Decorate your bike with lights and glow sticks, use body paint to express yourself, the more creative and visible the better!
