Welcome to Austin Women Travelers! Please read below before joining!
This group is adventuresome! We love to travel and explore areas close by as well as far. We go on day trips, we go camping, antiquing, kayaking, float the rivers, happy hours, swimming, brunches, hot air balloon festivals, Crawfish Fests, Zydeco Fest, winery tours, to name a few. We have been on some longer trips in the U.S. such as Hot Springs Arkansas, Port Aransas, Rocky Mtn NP, New Orleans, Breaux Bridge LA, Yellowstone NP, and Alaska as well as international destinations such as Mexico, Jamaica, India, Morocco, Cuba and the Netherlands!
The goal for this meetup group is to help organize and plan some local events to promote the friendships so we can ALL find travel buddies, but better yet, life long friends...who LOVE to travel. I welcome suggestions for any trip, feel free to speak up!
This club is for women, 18 years and over only. The majority of our members are in their 50's and 60's so if you're looking for a 20-somethings group, this may not be for you. We'd love to have you join us but please be sure to manage your RSVPs. If you are a "no show" multiple times, you will be dropped from the group.
Please note there is an annual fee of $10 which renews January 1st of each year.
You are welcome to join us for two events to determine if we are a good fit for you before paying the annual dues. If your dues are not paid you will not be given priority to RSVP for many events.
Membership in this group requires that your profile pic be a clear close-up of your face so we can find you at events. If you've asked to join and were turned down, this is most likely why.

** Our overnight events and events in members' homes are open only to those who have paid their dues, have been to a previous meetup and met one of the Organizers/Co Organizers and are a member in good standing.
