What we’re about
This is a group made up of Australian Shepherd owners (and their dogs) from the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia (DMV) area. We are interested in Australian Shepherds and their activities. Let's get our Aussies together for play dates, hikes, swims, agility, walks and runs and some sheep herding! Let's also support Aussie rescue activities. We have a Facebook page Australian Shepherds of the DMV. Upon joining this group you assume all liability for you and your dog. If a dog is deemed dangerous by members or the organizers, you will be blocked from the group. If an owner is deemed irresponsible by members or the organizers, you will be blocked from the group.
Under no circumstances should dogs in heat be brought to meetup events, members that do will be removed from the group.
Do not post for breeding or to sell puppies/dogs. Members that do, will be removed from the group.
Members that consistently rsvp and change their rsvps at the last minute or are no shows to events with limited availability and impact the finances of our hosts will be removed from the group.

There are lots of pool pawtys out there, but do the others have an Aussie themed logo? Join Sarah and Willow in Stephens City, VA for a 2 mile park walk followed by a swim pawty. It should be a great time!
Time: I'm planning on arriving around 9:30. Registration/Tshirt pick up begins at 9am if you'd like to get there earlier. The walk starts at 10am.

Join us to raise proceeds for Esther Boyd Animal Shelter! Dog walk participants will get a t-shirt, bandana (if registering to walk with a dog) & early VIP access to the pool prior to the public from 11 am - noon! This is an untimed two-mile charity walk. The course will loop through the Sherando trail system with the start and finish beside Sherando Pool. Course marshals will be at points throughout the course to direct participants.
