Let's have some off leash fun at Cobbler Mountain!
With over 90 acres of trails, an on-leash dog friendly tasting room and a great lawn with seating and firepits - Cobbler Mountain is one of our favorite places for a meetup. The dogs LOVE to run there and and our members love their cider. Owners Jeff and Laura are also wonderful hosts. Well behaved dogs are allowed off leash on their property. They have a huge field area where the dogs can run and play frisbee or ball. There is also a short trail that leads to a small stream where the dogs can cool off.
If you would like to hike explore some of the trails at Cobbler Mountain you are welcome to arrive a little early, though the tasting room won't be open until noon. Most of these trails are steep, just FYI. To get to them go straight up the hill from the parking area and you will see a sign.
Hike Virginia Arboretum/Blandy Experimental Farm - leave parking area at 10am: For those who want to do something active before the meetup, lets meet at the Virginia Arboretum at 9:50am and do an easy on leash hike for about 90min. Please get there a little early so we can start at 10am. Afterwards we can head over to Cobbler Mountain (30min drive) for the meetup.
