Are you ready to participate in and explore the practice of authentic relating in the context of knowing more and connecting more from your authentic self while making new friends in the process? If so please join us for “Welcoming Our Authentic Selves", hosted by Alexa Arribau and Daniel Sternweis.

Authentic Relating (AR) has 5 main practices. As part of the AR practice “Welcoming Everything,” we will focus on welcoming our authentic selves. Authentic Relating means sharing our inner truths in relation to others, while also holding space for their truth in the process. Welcoming our authentic selves will include practices to give space to discover more about what we are experiencing in the moment, and activities that allow us to contemplate our experience and then choose what to share based on bringing more connection to ourselves and others.

What to expect?

This is a workshop-style event with a supportive structure used to create a group context around the 5 practices of authentic relating:

• Welcoming everything
• Checking our assumptions
• Revealing our experiences
• Owning our experiences
• Honoring ourselves and others

My intention around welcoming our authentic selves is providing an opportunity to celebrate ourselves on a deeper level and experience more connection with others from that place. In this day-and-age of conflict and divisiveness, we need more than ever to feel connected with ourselves and individuals in our community, learn to relate in a way that transcends differences, and honor our boundaries. This is the magic of authentic relating. I’m excited to share this practice with you!

You will find there is no “right” answer, and this session is meant not to analyze or proselytize others, but to learn and grow through the process of curiosity and understanding. How deep can we fall into a genuine curiosity to learn and understand our perspective and someone else's perspective, so that we can expand our own truth? That is the question we will be asking.

— The potential to begin shifting lifelong relational patterns and blocks
All instructions and prompts will be provided; no experience necessary. This workshop is perfect for those new to AR as well as the well-seasoned.

GUIDANCE

• Chairs will be provided in the space. Temperature control is unknown.
• This event is for adults and young-adults only.
• If you are needing to bring a service animal, please reach out beforehand.

$10 recommended donation. Please consider donating to help cover the costs of running this meetup. You can donate prior or during the event.

Please keep your RSVP up to date! If your circumstances have changed and you are unable to make an event, we understand and honor your humanness! Please change your RSVP on the event page to "not going" so that a space may open up for someone else.

Alexa Arribau will be our lead-facilitator. She has facilitated many Authentic Relating events. She loves learning about the art of connection with self and others. She continues to feel a sense of wonder in experiencing the way Authentic Relating makes the world feel like a friendly and welcoming place.

Daniel Sternweis will be our co-facilitator and is a trained Authentic Relater through Authentic Revolution. He has a passion for teaching, learning, and leading. He is also passionate about personal development, community building, spirituality, and human connection.
