Join me at Mind Your Body Oasis yoga studio in Arlington, VA. I'll introduce a unique perspective on the mind that opens the door to self-compassion and self-understanding rather than judgment and shame. We'll explore the nature of trauma, how it impacts the many parts (selves) within each of us, and how we can form compassionate relationships with our parts to help them heal.
We'll discuss a unique therapeutic and self-growth approach called Internal Family Systems (IFS), which is a wonderful technique to help us get in touch with our true selves, see the big picture, and get to know our minds in a more intimate way.
After introducing the group to IFS's revolutionary way of looking at the mind, we'll move into experiential exercises to guide everyone through discovering some of their parts, as well as forming initial relationships with them. I'll encourage some brief shares by those who are willing to do so, followed by Q&A as time permits.
