AR Denver presents: The Joy of Books: New Dimensions! Please join Alexa on April 12th as she hosts the third instance of a Book Themed Authentic Relating event!
WHEN? Saturday - April 12th - 12:00pm-2:00pm
WHERE? Eugene Field Library
810 S University Blvd, Denver, CO 80209
THEME: The Joy of Books: New Dimensions
Come share and discover books with a focus on New Dimensions! Choose any book you enjoy from any genre. If you decide to share a fiction book, come ready to share about a character in the book. If you decide to share a nonfiction book, come, ready to share about your experience reading the book. The focus: being open to an unexpected or unusual reality that opens the mind to new dimensions.
Example: I enjoyed the book Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt. It explores a friendship between a 70 yr old widow and a friend she meets at the aquarium where she works. I found it unusual that her friend is an octopus! His name is Marcellus and in the book he solves a mystery. It opened my mind to the magic of the story that immersed me into a different reality. I became part of the animal kingdom. I was amazed at the eloquence of the book, and the depth of character development.
I’ll be curious to know: In your own experience of the book you read, how do you feel it opened a new world for you?
Please note that the book share will be short and sweet. No need to prepare much, just a short reflection like the one above. We will also share the list of titles in a large group for fun and inspiration.

ABOUT THE HOST
Alexa loves books and words and sharing them with people. She can talk about books for hours. She is inspired by the way books can transcend time, worlds and ideas. She especially likes it when a book is so well crafted the words seem to fall away, and we are immersed in the experience as if it was happening right now. She looks forward to sharing about books with you.
