What is Embodied Leadership?
Embodied leadership is the practice of stepping into and embracing the inner leader that we all have the energetic capacity to be. Every human is individually unique and has their own gifts to share with the world, and by relating authentically, courageously, and openly, we can empower ourselves and others to share and embody those gifts together.
Why should I attend?
“Embodied Relational Leadership Training” is the gateway to building your own practice of embodied leadership within your own life. Eventually, as you discover the hidden power of your heart-mind-spirit coherence, you may find joy in the idea of creating or facilitating your own groups/communities, or to begin facilitating within already existing communities (like Authentic Relating Denver).
WHAT TO EXPECT?
6:30pm - Welcome, Introductions, Self-Check In
6:45pm - Leadership Training: Facilitation Fundamentals
7:30pm - Activities to practice facilitation
8:15pm - Closing, Meet a New Friend

In this session, we will:
- Provide educational Facilitation Training. Facilitation requires a different skill set than most leadership skills, as there is an emphasis is on creating a sense of safety and presence within a relational container. For authentic expression to emerge within relational activities, skilled facilitators are needed to balance the form and structure of an event, with the flow and co-creation with participants, creating a sense of inclusion. If you are interested in facilitating in AR Denver, then this is the leadership session for you!
- Practice! Through the planned activities, we will practice the skills we learned, and have room to discuss the outcomes!
GUIDANCE
- Please bring water and a light jacket.
- Chairs will be provided in the community space.
- This event is for adults and young-adults only.
COST
For now, this training is donation based. Please donate the value you feel you received from the event, to cover the room cost and meetup fees. In the future, these trainings may be moved to a sliding scale.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Our goal is that through this facilitation training, you will develop the skills and practice to begin your own facilitation journey. This is not a requirement for attending, but for those who are interested, this is the pathway to facilitating within AR Denver.
- Co-Facilitation - the co-facilitator(s) refers to the individual or individuals supporting the lead facilitator during a group or event. Co-facilitators help track time, participants, and group harmony, and provide their own flavor of facilitation to create a balance in the event.
- Lead-Facilitator - the lead-facilitator refers to the individual who’s ultimately leading the event. They create the plan for the event, provide the co-facilitators with instructions, and keep the group engaged throughout the event. They also plan logistics of the event, including writing the Meetup description, finding a suitable location, and other advertising.
If you are interested in becoming a facilitator of AR Denver, please express your interest at the facilitation training, and we will be happy to review the next steps with you!
