A space for Autistic professionals, advocates, and community members to connect, vent, and build a neuro-inclusive future.
In a world where systems are increasingly built for us without us, and the current landscape of support feels increasingly hostile, we are creating a space centered on Autonomy.
Autistic Haus is an autistic-led startup initiative focused on piloting foundational supported homes. We believe housing should reduce sensory burdens and provide a foundation for a life lived on our own terms—not just "independence" within an institutional cage, but true, self-directed autonomy.
What we do at meetups:
Meet in person: Moving beyond online-only spaces to build local, tangible community in Brisbane (Meanjin).
Consult & Collaborate: We want to hear your lived experience. What are your non-negotiable housing needs? What does your ideal sensory environment look like?
Strategic Hope: We acknowledge the weight of things like NDIS changes and systemic barriers, but we focus on collective action and sustainable, community-led models that exist outside traditional structures.

Autistic adults and professionals seeking community with peers.
Those tired of the "deficit-based" conversation around autism.
Autistic people interested in inclusive design, sustainable infrastructure, and housing and support systems reform.
The Environment
We prioritize low-pressure, accessible meetups. Our events usually take place in open, outdoor spaces or quiet venues with nearby accessible facilities. Whether you are a deep-diver into policy or someone who just wants to listen and exist in a space where you don't have to mask, or if you need a caring space to talk about current and ongoing threats to progress in autism fields and communities, you are welcome here.
We are an organiser not a support provider, so please feel free to bring your own supports whatever you need.

Autism Meeting
Roma Street Parklands, Parklands Boulevard , Top of lift/esculators, Brisbane, AUBuilding a future we actually want to live in.
While there are plenty of online spaces, there’s something different about meeting in person, especially when it’s led by us. We are hosting an open meeting for the Autistic community, (diagnosed or not) including professionals and those navigating the complexities of the current system, to gather, share, and look forward.
Why join us?
The landscape of support and the NDIS can feel incredibly heavy right now. This is a space to acknowledge that weight, but also to find genuine hope.
We’ll be discussing the Autistic Haus mission: creating housing designed by us, for us, with a focus on sensory ease and true autonomy. But more importantly, we want to hear from you.What are your non-negotiables for a home?
