Description: Over the past few years, Autonomoustuff has been at the center of the international autonomous car research development effort. Cameron Gieda has been working with Autonomoustuff for 3 years in a Business Development role. He will provide a unique perspective as to who is winning the autonomous race and how. Cameron will talk about how this industry has progressed over the last three years and where he thinks it’s going. Cameron will also talk about efforts at Autonomoustuff to push the industry forward by developing key technologies such as the functionally safe vehicle interface. As well Cameron will spend some time talking about the other technologies that are in use or in development which are essential pieces, such as LIDAR, cameras, radar, GPS and thermal imaging – explaining how they work together to produce a safe perception system. Lastly, Cameron will explain how autonomous car research is bleeding into other industries such as AG, mining and factory automation.
