What we’re about
The AVL-Word synergizes an Asheville L-Word experience for lesbians, gender non-conforming & non-binary sapphic-loving lovelies. We are mostly in our 30s, 40s, and 50s and live in the WNC area. We offer things to do, places to go, and dance events that will allow us to feel like we imagine life to be in an elevated, real life version of the show: where we can bond, make friends, flirt, find partners, feel free and provide a general more tight-knit group that feels like home.
