Spring Series: Exploring Church of the Wild by Victoria Loorz

What if your sense of the sacred didn’t have to come from a building—or a belief system—but could be experienced directly, in the living world around you?

If you’ve ever felt disconnected from traditional church, or found yourself longing for a more embodied, spacious form of spirituality, this series offers another way.

In April and May, the Awakened Heart Collective will gather for a special spring series centered on Church of the Wild—a book that explores the idea that nature itself can be a sacred teacher.
Rather than locating spirituality only in religious spaces, the book invites us into direct relationship with the living world—forests, rivers, animals, and seasons—as a doorway into connection, meaning, and belonging.

Through story, reflection, and practice, it gently shifts us from separation into relationship—reminding us that we are not observers of nature, but participants within it. As we slow down, listen, and engage more intentionally, a sense of reverence, guidance, and interconnectedness begins to re-emerge.

At its heart, this book is a remembering:
that the sacred isn’t somewhere else—it’s here, woven into the world around us, and within us.

We will also co-create our own Church of the Wild and discuss what we hope to give and receive at Mindfulness with the Meadow.
