Agenda:

First speaker: Michael Wittig

Michael Wittig is an AWS Community Hero, co-founder of widdix.net, a consulting company focused on cloud architecture, DevOps, and software development on AWS. widdix maintains several AWS related open source projects, most notably a collection of production-ready CloudFormation templates. In 2016, widdix released marbot: a Slack bot supporting your DevOps team to detect and solve incidents on AWS.

Title: "When event-driven systems meet CSV reports"

Abstract:
Event-driven architectures come with many benefits. But in the end, the customer asks for a CSV report. An aggregated snapshot of all events. It turns out that AWS provides all the building blocks to turn any event stream into a CSV report. In this talk, you learn to combine SNS, Kinesis Firehose, S3, Step Functions, and Athena to generate CSV reports.

Second speaker: Davide Gallitelli

Davide Gallitelli is a Machine Learning Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS. His goal is to assist customers translating their business visions into technical realities, through the services and solutions provided on the AWS platform. Developer since the age of 8, picked up Machine Learning during late education years, now helping customers innovate through AI and Machine Learning.

Title: “Getting started with Amazon SageMaker”

Abstract:
Amazon SageMaker helps data scientists and developers to prepare, build, train, and deploy high-quality machine learning (ML) models quickly by bringing together a broad set of capabilities purpose-built for ML. SageMaker offers tools for every step of ML development, including labeling, data preparation, feature engineering, statistical bias detection, training, tuning, monitoring, and workflows. In this session, learn how to get started quickly with SageMaker by understanding the different environments it uses, as well as how to automatically do Machine Learning starting from tabular data with SageMaker AutoPilot.

Third speaker: Marek Kuczyński

Marek Kuczyński is a Strategic Accounts Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services in The Netherlands. He has been with the company since late 2016 and worked with enterprise, startup and serverless customers before working fulltime in his current role. Before AWS, Marek spent several years as a security consultant and ethical hacker, with a focus on cloud, mobile and backend systems.

Title: “Serverless and containers – what’s possible today?”

Abstract:
In this developer focused talk, we will learn about various ways to run containers on AWS without maintaining servers. There will be a focus on the capabilities of running Docker images on Lambda and several demo’s showing what kind of cool and unique solutions you can build with this. By the end of the presentation, you will have a good understanding of how you can pick the best AWS service to build your next serverless application!
