AWS GameDay Nordics (Jyväskylä) 2024

Join us for an intense evening with a mix of learning and competition - all in the AWS console.

AWS Community Nordics in collaboration with AWS is proud to announce the second AWS GameDay Nordics. Join us on this opportunity in a fun gamified learning and team-building event focusing on AWS. Feel free to bring friends and colleagues and form a team with them.

The event is a Nordic-wide event and available to be joined by any AWS Community members at the following locations: Bergen, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Oslo, Tampere and Trondheim.

The event occurs on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 17:00-21:00.

NordHero will provide the venue (at CrazyTown JKL) and arrange the local event together with AWS, and Gofore is sponsoring the snacks and beverage to the event.

We start the competition at 18:00 (17:00 CET), time before that is used to get settled.

The GameDay will be hosted on Nordics level by AWS Principal Developer Advocate, our own Gunnar “Unicorn” Grosch.

IMPORTANT:

• Bring your laptop to the event! (You will use the AWS console and be given an account for the evening)
• You will work in teams (3-4 people), so feel free to form a team up-front with your colleagues
• You will compete against other teams in your user group and against the other user groups in the Nordics for approximately 2.5 hours
• We have prizes for the best team(s)

What is a GameDay?
AWS GameDay is a gamified learning event that challenges participants to use AWS solutions to solve real-world technical problems in a team-based setting. Unlike traditional workshops, GameDays are open-ended and non-prescriptive to give participants the freedom to explore and think outside the box.

An AWS account is not required, one will be provided to your team by AWS, but you will need a web browser with access to the AWS Console. It would be advantageous for you to be familiar with the AWS Console before you attend the GameDay.
