Runscope's customers use us to run API monitoring tests - at last count, almost 100 million automated tests each month. Originally we stored the test results in PostgreSQL but the dataset quickly outgrew even the largest AWS instance. In early 2015 we moved this data to Amazon DynamoDB and haven't looked back. Through this process we've learned a lot about DynamoDB, which we'll share in this talk. This talk will cover topics like why DynamoDB seemed like a good fit; table design; provisioning throughput; and debugging your DynamoDB code. Speaker: Ryan Park, Principal Infrastructure Engineer, Runscope. Ryan is responsible for cloud infrastructure at Runscope, and built many of the platform microservices that power Runscope's applications. Ryan was previously one of the first 10 employees at Pinterest, where he led technical operations. Ryan is an AWS Community Hero and has spoken at conferences including True Ventures' True University, and AWS re:Invent.
