ABOUT THE EVENT

PLEASE BRING YOUR LAPTOP TO PARTICIPATE IN HANDS-ON LABS.

The Startup Security Activation Day walks attendees through how to get started and scale security when operating on AWS. The event provides a technical walk through of use cases and scenarios focused on detective controls and incident response with AWS Security Services.

AWS subject matter experts lead the conversation around threat detection (using Amazon GuardDuty), vulnerability management (using Amazon Inspector), security posture management (using AWS Security Hub), and various approaches and strategies for incident response. Attendees walk away with hands-on experience and an understanding of how to identify, investigate, and remediate vulnerabilities, potential threats, and misconfigurations within their AWS environments.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This event is open to startup security architects and engineers and anyone else responsible for security in early-stage startups. This event is multi-customer and in person. We recommend reserving sensitive conversations for 1:1 meetings with your AWS account team. Please bring your other questions and engage during the event to get the most out of it.

BEFORE THE EVENT

If you plan to enable the services in your own account(s) during the event, determine in advance which of your accounts you want to enable the services in, and ensure that you have the appropriate access. Using your own AWS account(s) is not required to participate in the Activation Day.
