Asian Young Professionals DC/MD/VA is a social-networking group that studies Asian languages, plays games (Mahjong, Chinese Chess, go, etc.) and contributes to the Washington DC area community via volunteer and charity events. We practice the "3 Fs"- Fun, Friendship, and Filanthropy. We also do club nights, happy hours, outdoor events, museum trips, dining out at Asian restaurants (dim sum, sushi, Korean bbq, pho, etc.)- pretty much anything fun. Our goal is to have a fun, productive, and united Asian-Pacific American community. Join us and come to one of our upcoming events. We'd love to welcome you in person!
Come mingle, network, and have fun! Share some delicious international food with fellow FAPAC members, families, friends, and special guests. It will be a cross culture of global cuisines with some local favorites and ethnic home cooking. Please bring your favorite dish to add to the picnic table.

The Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) was founded in 1985. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization representing the civilian and military Asian Pacific American (APA) employees in the Federal and District of Columbia governments.
Let's do a series of outdoorsy games where the different Asian groups come together. Kickball, dodgeball, flag football, tug-of-war, etc. It would be so fun and would be good for guys and gals. When the weather gets nice in Spring would be best- yeah that's a while from now. I would captain the Vietnamese team, Rudy would captain the Filipino team, Michael the Cantonese team, etc. What do you all think? Would you be down? It would be legendary....
Hey, it's a Chinese buffet and not fine dining but it's cheap and good with lots of variety. Dim sum, pho, roast duck, beef, sushi, shrimp, mussels, oysters, clams, crawfish, crabs, pork chops, hibachi grill, and more. My girlfriend really liked the fresh-made soymilk and Vietnamese soup. The line for dinner is often out the door- mostly working class people for whom value and taste is above all. Come hungry and pig out :-) Silver Spring Metro Station is a few blocks away and City of Silver Spring public parking garages are free in the evenings/on weekends.
Where do you guys want to eat together? It could be your favorite restaurant that you want to share with everyone or it could be a new place you've heard about from friends, Facebook, or Yelp. DC, Maryland, Virginia are all possible. Doesn't have to be Metro accessible. Post a comment and let us know. Thanks!
