Trail ride on the Rim

A fairly easy trail ride on top of the Mogollon Rim.
Should be 25 - 30 degrees cooler than Phoenix.

Time: arrive at the rimtop trailhead between 945 - 10am
plan to roll about 10:15 am

Level: advanced beginner

Distance: 12 - 15 miles

Bring at least 1.5 L or 2 qts to drink on the ride
also bring a snack for the snack break like a clif bar or similar.
You could also bring a sandwich for after the ride.

Directions: You can type rimtop trailhead (or rim top trailhead) using Google Maps and it comes up. ( It's listed as Payson AZ, but i don't think Payson extends this far, but that's how it comes up on Google Maps.)
Or you can follow these directions if you dont have Google Maps: from the south you can take 87 up to Payson,
then take 260 east for about 30 min to the top of the rim which is about mile marker 282 or so. As soon as you level off and get to the top, look for the left turn to Woods Canyon Lake (fr300). make the turn and drive just a short way (it may be the first right?) and on the right you should see the rimtop trailhead parking lot. Park there. I'll have an older toyota 4runner goldish color.

I hereby waive, release and discharge the Meetup group AZ Mountain Biking (AZMB) and its officers, ride leaders,volunteers, employees, organizers, sponsors, members, and ride participants from any and all claims for personal injury, property damage,or death resulting from my participation in any AZMB event.
I acknowledge that mountain biking is a high-risk sport. I realize there are certain dangers inherent in the sport of mountain biking, and I assume these risks with the full understanding that injuries may result from my participation in any AZMB event.
I intend this release to discharge the above-named from any and all liability arising from or connected in any way with my participation in any event, even though that liability may result from the negligence or carelessness of the above named .
I certify that my bicycle is suitable for safe use in all events, that I am in good physical condition, and that I am able to complete the event. I agree to wear a bicycle helmet properly adjusted and fastened.
I have read this waiver and release and fully understand its terms and agree that it shall be binding on my heirs and assigns. I consent to emergency care at my own expense if injured or ill.
