Azure Real-World: A Journey to Containers

Details
The year is 2020! A small engineering team at SaaS company Tethr find themselves running in Azure Cloud Services and Service Fabric.
This was BAD for these reasons:
- Cloud Services: deprecated technology, slow deployments, inefficient Windows VMs
- Service Fabric: an inferior, Windows-based version of Kubernetes - harder to develop against, manage, deploy, scale, had a tiny ecosystem, meanwhile had all the costs and burden maintaining a Kubernetes cluster.
The team needed to move to Containers in Azure - and it was an eventful journey but they have since MADE IT!!
Come to this session for an overview and deep dive on this real-world journey from old tech to new, presented by one of the software engineers that lived this experience: Principal Cloud Architect Peter Seale at Tethr, who is based in Houston. Peter will be in-person!
