About us
Interested in metaphysics? Builders of the Adytum is a teaching and training order in the Western Mystery tradition founded by Paul Foster Case in 1922. BOTA presents the Principles of the Ageless Wisdom through the teachings of the Holy Qabalah (Kabbalah, Cabbala), Tarot, Alchemy, and much more. The Houston BOTA group has been active since the 70's, and meets on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Builders of the Adytum is a non-profit organization, and Houston activities are supported solely by local contributions. Donations are gratefully accepted.
The Open Forum discussion group, the Vibratory Attunement and other public activities are open to all interested adults.
Public activities conclude with fellowship and lunch.

Vernal and Autumnal Equinox
This month we celebrate the autumnal equinox which falls on September 23, when the Sun enters the astrological sign of Libra. Every 6 months, the earth experiences the equilibrating energies of day and night, light and dark. Throughout the ages, many spiritual traditions have celebrated these themes of balance and harmonization. For us as spiritual aspirants, it is a time of personal assessment and reflection. It is an auspicious time to make personal life changes, releasing patterns which are no longer useful, and choosing to align ourselves with those in greater harmony with our higher aspirations.
Equinox Message: At our spring and autumnal meetings, a special Equinox Message, is addressed to all groups globally. Attendees will receive a copy of this inspiring message for further contemplation.
The Vibratory Attunement Service is a participatory meditation developed by our teacher, Rev. Ann Davies, to incorporate the principles of Sound and Color and Qabalistic chants to promote personal and global balance and wholeness. All are welcome to participate.
Builders of the Adytum (B.O.T.A.) is a Mystery School and training order based on the Western Mystery tradition. Adytum is derived from a Greek word meaning Inner Shrine or Holy of Holies. Like Jesus, who many believe was trained in Qabalah, members of the Order aspire to build the Inner Temple, to construct the Holy of Holies within.
