Sophie is a Senior Business Analyst at Westpac New Zealand and the founder of the BA Career Meetup Group. Sophie switched her career from Electronics Technical Sales to Business Analyst in August 2021 before getting her master’s degree at Victoria University of Wellington.

Sophie is passionate about growing the BA community in NZ and raising awareness of business analysis careers. In January 2023, Sophie founded the BA Career Meetup to help professionals launch and advance their BA careers. With the help of more than 20 volunteers, Sophie and her team delivered more than 30 online speaker events and nine in-person events, attracting more than 1,800 Meetup members
