It's Stock Show Time! Let's See the Parade!
Details
It's Denver Stock Show time! On this one afternoon in January, the streets of downtown Denver are lined with boots, chaps and cowboy hats to celebrate Colorado’s western traditions and the iconic National Western Stock Show.
Envision the sight of over 40 Longhorn cattle walking through the streets of downtown Denver!
The parade route begins at Denver's Union Station and runs up 17th Street, concluding at 17th & Glenarm. The parade begins at 12:00PM. Streets tend to fill up quickly, so arrive early to join the group!
Instead of my usual Thursday hike, I'm attending the Parade! It's a fun parade and I want a good vantage point. Meet me downtown early ~10am for coffee at Denver Union Station Pig Train Coffee then we'll find a good place to view the parade along the route on 17th Street. Bring a chair or plan to stand. Last time a good vantage point was on the corner of 17th & Wynkoop as the parade starts north of DUS. We have to stake out a spot early!
Good day to take the light rail! Street Meter parking available on surrounding streets. Parking lots will be very expensive!
See you there!
