Let's enjoy "Skynets Over Downtown" ribbon art series created by Colorado-based artist Patrick Shearn of Poetic. The series features thousands of hand-attached, lightweight ribbons that move and ripple with the wind.

The installations are designed to create a "living sculpture" at three primary, distinct downtown locations:
Union Station: The "Sun Splash" piece hangs over the plaza fountain.
Glenarm Plaza (16th Street): "Quaking Gold" showcases shimmering, aspen-inspired colors.
Skyline Park: "Skyline Drift" adds a third, vibrant element to the area.

These installations are part of a broader, 2026 effort to increase downtown activity and pedestrian traffic. They are meant to be enjoyed as you walk, between them enjoying the 16th Street Mall.

Walking the length of the 16th Street Mall from Denver Union Station to the Civic Center area covers 1.25 miles. The walk typically takes about 20 to 25 minutes at a standard, leisurely pace.

Parking - Think about taking light rail public transportation to Denver Union Station. Downtown meter parking is limited to 2 hours and parking lots can be expensive

See you there!
