Mad River Kayaking and DragonFly Winery

A half day of kayaking on the Mad River, one of the cleanest, clearest rivers in the state. There will be both livery service for your personal kayak or you may rent from the kayak outfitter. We'll meet at the outfitter at 10:30am with a 11am departure for an 8 mile float. The river is slightly faster than area rivers so it is estimated to take three hours at a leisurely pace.

After toweling off and stowing the kayaks, we drive a short distance to Dragonfly Winery, with award winning wines and a fine kitchen to eat a hearty late lunch. If you are not a kayaker, come join us at the winery, where we should arrive between 2:30pm and 3pm. We won't be too jealous if you get a glass ahead of the kayakers.
