Participate in the Doo-Dah Parade 2012

We are headed to the 2012 Doo Dah Parade again this year as the Cheesus Crust Pizza Company with our 8' high pizza - with some extra frills. (more info to follow) Last year we received the first place Czar's Award and had two Doo Dah parade officials carry a Czars Award banner in front of our act. We had many great responses from the crown including several people who were sitting, but enthusiastically stood and applauded our comic mocking of religion. Of course some others weren't so appreciative.....

As you might know there is a Mt Wilson field trip later on in the day. Fortunately the parade starts at 11am and ends before 1pm so there is plenty of time to come back home for a nap. We'll be carpooling from my house at 9am or you can meet us in the staging area around 10am at 73 No. Vinedo St., Pasadena. There is GREAT free, all-day parking on Walnut Street, located just one block north of the staging area.

We are carpooling from my house at 8:45am, (I need some help placing the pizza on the truck) getting to the staging area at 10 at Vinedo and Nina streets and starting the parade at 11am.

You can come as Jesus (we have some costumes you can rent for $20 or you can buy one HERE (http://www.costumesupercenter.com/mens+costumes-biblical+religious/5436FW-mens-jesus-costume.html)) or a friar, cardinal, priest, the pope, a peasant or a Roman soldier, but I prefer more Jesuses to make our act look more consistent.

We'll be rehearsing a little dance routine beforehand to make the act more entertaining. Your $10 can be paid at the staging area.
