On Saturday, 7th March 2026, we’ll be showcasing Shaun of the Dead.
You might know Simon Pegg from Hot Fuzz, Star Trek, or The World’s End, but this is where the magic really began. A zombie comedy that somehow manages to be hilarious, heartfelt, and surprisingly relatable all at once.

This is one of my all-time favorite zombie films. It captures what a “zombie” (or “walker,” depending on your allegiance) apocalypse would probably look like in real life — confusion, denial, a bit of panic… and then a pint at the pub while it all blows over. Because at the end of the day, sometimes the world feels like it’s ending — and sometimes the best response is to gather your friends and take it one step at a time.

This month, I think it’s important that we remind ourselves not to get too overwhelmed by life. We’re fortunate to live in a part of the world where we can enjoy evenings like this — watching films, sharing laughs, and spending time together. That’s not something everyone gets to do. So let’s not take it for granted.

Our friend Cancer-Cinema can’t join us in person this time, but I’m sure he’d want us to enjoy the moment, the movie, and the freedom to do so.
So this screening is for you, Cancer-Cinema.

Let’s grab a pint and wait for this whole thing to blow over.
