### 🔐 Innovation Without Security Creates Risk
Digital transformation is changing how organizations operate, serve customers, manage information, and deliver value. But as organizations adopt new technologies and accelerate innovation, they can also introduce new vulnerabilities and cybersecurity risks.
Security cannot be something considered only after a system has been designed, a technology implemented, or a project delivered.
In this session, Aaleyah Evans will explore the important relationship between digital transformation, cybersecurity, and project delivery and why security should be considered throughout the project lifecycle rather than treated as an afterthought.
Participants will gain practical insight into how organizations can pursue innovation while proactively managing cybersecurity risk and strengthening organizational resilience.***
### 📌 About the Session
Digital initiatives often introduce new technologies, platforms, integrations, data flows, and ways of working. Each advancement can create opportunities for innovation—but it can also expand an organization's exposure to cyber threats.
This session will help project professionals better understand where cybersecurity intersects with the work they already do.
Aaleyah will explore how cybersecurity considerations can be incorporated earlier into project planning and decision-making, helping teams identify potential risks before they become costly problems.
Participants will examine:- How digital transformation can introduce or increase cybersecurity risk
- Why security considerations should begin early in the project lifecycle
- How project decisions can influence an organization's cybersecurity exposure
- The importance of collaboration between project teams, cybersecurity professionals, technology teams, and business stakeholders
- How integrating security into digital initiatives can support both innovation and organizational resilience
Cybersecurity isn't only an IT concern. As organizations become increasingly digital, understanding cybersecurity risk is becoming an important part of responsible project and business leadership.
