About us
Most people here came on their own.
We built the space we couldn't find — somewhere you can turn up by yourself, say hi first, and meet people without it being weird.
How a Saturday works
From 7:30 until around 9:00, a hosted Conversation Spark gets the room talking — teams, simple challenges, and easy ways into a conversation. It's not a two-minute icebreaker; it's the main event. Hosts welcome people at the door, make introductions, and pull newcomers into conversations.
From 9:00 the structure fades and it becomes an open social. People chat, play, dance, and carry on. Some head to a nearby venue afterwards.
Why people come back
Walking into next week is easier when a few faces already feel familiar. That's the whole idea — you'll recognise people, pick up conversations where you left them, and still meet someone new. A circle doesn't get built in one night. It gets built one Saturday at a time.
The practical bit
Every Saturday evening, central London. Age 25-45. Doors from 7:30 — get there before 10pm.

What actually happens here
These aren't rules on a wall. This is what the room is like:
Openness — People say hi first. Nobody waits to be approached.
Kindness — Nobody gets left standing on their own for long. Usually someone goes over before a host has to.
Authenticity — You don't need an upgraded version of yourself.
Nobody else brought one.
Respect — When someone isn't interested, that's the end of it.
Inclusivity — The room looks like London. Different backgrounds, ages and accents at every table.

On messaging — please read this
We're a community, not a dating app.
Zero tolerance for harassment, or for sliding into DMs in a way that makes someone uncomfortable. If you wouldn't say it in person, in front of the group, don't send it privately.
If something feels off at an event or in a message, tell a host or an ambassador. We act on it, and we've removed people for this before.
Discrimination and disrespectful behaviour towards our members aren't tolerated — at events or in messages.

Balancers Community Volunteering - Clothing Distribution
Dominion Theatre, 268-269 Tottenham Court Rd, Fitzrovia,, London W1T 7AQ, GBHi Balancers,
We believe community is about more than meeting new people. It's also about showing up for those who need support.
As part of our ongoing partnership with Refugee Community Kitchen, we're inviting you to join us for a different kind of volunteering session. This time, we’re joining Refugee Community Kitchen (RCK) at their Goodge Street service to provide essential clothing to people who need it.
👕 HOW IT WORKS
We’ll meet at 6:00 PM in front of the Dominion Theatre.
From there, we’ll cross the road to Primark and split into small groups. Each group will be given a few essential clothing items to find and buy.
Once we’re done, we’ll walk about 5 minutes to Goodge Street, join the RCK service and distribute the clothing while their team serves food.💷 CHIPPING IN
We’ll collect contributions from the group and use the full amount to buy the clothing that evening.
If you can, bring some cash — but there’s absolutely no pressure to contribute much. Even £1 helps, and you’re just as welcome to volunteer regardless of how much you contribute.💬 Join our Volunteer WhatsApp group for updates and coordination:

Are We Asking Too Much of Relationships?
The Drift, 110 Bishopsgate, City of London, London EC2N 4AY, Reino Unido, london, GBWe're often told to find someone who is our best friend, soulmate, lover, emotional support, adventure partner and lifelong companion.
But is one relationship really meant to fulfil all of those roles?
Introducing Beyond Small Talk, a new Balancers series where each edition explores a different topic, bringing different perspectives around the same table.
For our first edition, we're bringing this question into the real world through a social experiment designed to challenge perspectives and spark honest conversations between people who may see things differently.
We'll explore love, friendship, independence, intimacy, commitment and the different ways people choose to build meaningful relationships. We'll start with one big question and ask everyone where they stand. Then, through a series of intimate, rotating table conversations, you'll meet different people, explore different perspectives and dive into questions designed to take the conversation beyond the usual small talk.
At the end, we'll come back together and ask the same question again: did anyone change their mind?🚨*To make the conversations as interesting as possible, we’d love to keep a good balance of men and women in the room. As Meetup doesn’t give us that flexibility, tickets for this event are available only through the Balancers app (Click here) or our website. If you’d rather not download the app, you can simply book directly here.*🚨
It's not speed dating. There are no right answers. No pressure to overshare.
Just good questions, thoughtful people and an opportunity to see relationships from a different perspective.2 attendees
