Hello, Hacker Ladies and Gentlemen!
On April 29th, BALISP, the Bay Area Lisp and Scheme Users Group, will host two talks: first, a talk by Jay Reynolds Freeman about porting his Wraith Scheme implementation to Apple's M1 chip; and second, a talk by Steven Watson about Andy Keep's Nanopass framework for building compilers. Nanopass was used to implement Chez Scheme, which is now the basis of Racket Scheme.
We will meet at Hacker Dojo in Mountain View (855 Maude Ave.).
Jay will be presenting virtually, but we'll show his slides on a projection screen. Steve will present in person.
Please join us in person if you can. After the talks, we'll mingle and have snacks. Good things come from meeting in person. In fact, I just talked with a BALISP member who has worked at a job he loves at Intel for years thanks to a chance meeting at a BALISP meeting.
