What we’re about

Meet other people near you! Come to our Meetup and mingle with fellow members for fun, and friendship.
We are folks in the Baltimore and nnapolis, generally in our 50s and 60s.
We encourage participation from people who are active and interested in good conversation, checking out new events and places in and around Baltimore and Annapolis.
First and foremost, we want you to feel comfortable with this social network. You never know who you will meet and who they might introduce to you! That's the wonderful anticipation of attending different events.
Suggestions for new events and any creative ideas are welcome! This group is for all, so the more you participate the more fun we will have !

See all- BSO and Fireworks at Oregon Ridge BandshellOregon Ridge Park, Cockeysville, MD
Tickets:
https://my.bsomusic.org/19870/19891Get your $30 tickets in advance (since this can sell out), grab your folding chair/blanket and head out to the Hunt Valley area to celebrate the July 4th holiday to the music of the BSO, including a fireworks display kicked off with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture! When you buy your event ticket(s), you also need to pay for a parking pass ($10), so consider having one person in your carpool buy all the tickets for your carpool so you only pay for one parking pass in the order. Tickets are electronic, so if you want yours to come in the mail, order your tickets at least 2 weeks in advance.
The music starts at 8 pm, but we need to get there early to get a flatter, more chair-friendly spot closer to the bandshell rather than on the big ski slope (which is NOT chair-friendly). If I find out the parking lot will open later than 5:30, I'll change the start time.
Local food trucks will be available for food and drinks, or better yet, bring your own picnic items (including BYOB). [warning: no glass containers allowed, so plan your beverages accordingly]. Other planning tips: consider your bug resistance strategy and what you will do to keep yourself cool if it is a very hot day.
No umbrellas are allowed; if potential rain is in the forecast, bring a rain poncho and "mud-friendly" shoes (and it does get muddy!). In the past, if BSO needs to cancel the show due to rain, they comp the tickets, so your money will not be totally wasted.
If you sign up for this event and your plans change, please RSVP out of the event no later than 4pm on July 3. We make every effort to try to save space for those who are saying they are attending and then help them find where we are sitting (since finding our group gets more difficult as the park gets more crowded).
