~ Embracing a Healthier, Sustainable, Compassionate and Peaceful Way of Eating and Living ~

Nonprofit group Earthsave Baltimore hosts monthly vegan potlucks at Govans Presbyterian Church, 5828 York Road in Baltimore, near Towson. Church is next to the historic Senator Theater. (Mealtime starts promptly at 6:15.)

Our July 27th vegan potluck will feature the talk “Vegan Nutrition: Common Mistakes and Misconceptions”, by registered dietician Mark Rifkin. Talk will be followed by an extended Q. & A. Session, so bring a list of questions. Mark Rifkin is a long-term vegan who’s well-versed in nutrition and health and environmental science. He also provides great practical advice, much of it gained thru his experience in personal nutrition and health coaching and counseling.

MONTHLY VEGAN POTLUCKS: The attendance fee is $5. You may RSVP by email at [baltimore@earthsave.org](http://mailto:%20baltimore@earthsave.org/), or by voicemail at 410-252-3043. Please also go the event page of the Earthsave Baltimore Facebook group to invite friends and let them know you plan to attend.

Guests are asked to bring a dish made without animal products that will serve 8 or more. If you’d like to bring food just for yourself or attend without eating, the fee is $5. If you wish to enjoy the potluck without bringing a dish, the fee is $20.

And please consider donating a nonperishable vegan food item to the church's free community meal and food pantry. Suggestions: pasta, rice, barley, canned or dried beans, hot or cold breakfast cereal, nut butter, canned vegetables, canned soup or soup mixes or salad dressing. Be mindful of expiration dates. Let's demonstrate the spirit of giving!"

There’s plenty of free parking. Drive around church to large parking lot, where you'll see the white Earthsave banner near the Fellowship Hall entry. You can get monthly event reminders by email by joining the Baltimore Vegan Meetup or Baltimore Vegetarian Meetup . Another good resource for social connection, events info, questions and discussion is the Earthsave Baltimore Facebook group. Baltimore Vegans is another helpful resource on Facebook.

Hope to see you at an event soon!

Peace...
Don
