Basket Brigade Thanksgiving Food Drive
It's that time of year again...we need your help for the Baltimore/Washington PowerTeam Basket Brigade Saturday, November 17th, 2018 Click here to check out our current YouTube video: Please watch the video from a previous year's campaign and forward it to your family, friends and contacts who may be willing to support us in this effort. It's never been easier for people to support what we're doing for our neighbors in need. Save The Date! Saturday, November 17, 2018 East County Community Center 3310 Gateshead Manor Way, Silver Spring, MD 20904 Time: 10:30a – 1p with basket deliveries beginning after this time Without your support, the magic simply can't happen. Please use this convenient link to donate online: Yes, it’s that time of year again – and that very special day is fast approaching! As in the past, we will gather together to build “baskets of love” for those less fortunate. For those who might be new to this incredible event, we fill baskets with all the makings for a Thanksgiving dinner and then some that will feed a family of four. We started this amazing annual event in 2006 so we're celebrating our 13th anniversary of making magic happen!! Please come join us this year for a day that you will remember each year at Thanksgiving – I promise!!! And as you sit down to your Thanksgiving dinner, you will know that you helped another family enjoy their Thanksgiving as well. The baskets cost approximately $45 to fill and we are planning to fill 100 again this year. The number of baskets will depend on the financial contributions we received. The baskets contain all the ingredients needed for a complete Thanksgiving dinner beginning with a frozen turkey and ending with a fresh, pumpkin pie – all wrapped up in a beautiful cellophane bag and tied with a ribbon. We need financial donations to fulfill this dream and to give a family a basket of love so they too can enjoy a wonderful meal on Thanksgiving. We appreciate any financial contribution you can make and we would love for you to join us on November 18th. For financial contributions you can send a check (we would like to get these by 11/12/16) made out to The Baltimore/Washington PowerTeam and sent to: Rita Williams-Ellingwood, 1296 Alta Vista Drive, Millersville, MD 21108 Please let me know if you are interested in helping with the deliveries. Please email us at: [masked] and [masked]. Most of all thank you for your generosity and contribution!!! Questions? Contact Dave Elliott at[masked] or Rita at[masked]. Thanksgiving Day Update Join us on Thursday, November 22nd to serve! For the last 12 years, we've also joined up with fellow PowerTeamer, Bobby Babcock and his family to serve dinner on Thanksgiving Day at a church in downtown Baltimore. Once you make this event part of your Thanksgiving tradition, you won't want to spend your day any other way. And you'll still be done early enough to enjoy your own Thanksgiving plans with loved ones! St. Peter Claver Church 1526 N. Fremont Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21217 Cooked turkeys and dessert dishes always welcome! Food prep starts early AM...Church service begins at 8am upstairs (if you wish to attend)...Decorating hall after church...serving food from 11am - 3 or 4pm. Join us for an hour -- or all day if you wish. You'll be glad you did. For details, contact Bobby Babcock at[masked]

What we're about

Our amazing group of 300+ members meets each month in the Silver Spring area (midway between Baltimore and DC, convenient to I-95). There you'll meet other local fans of personal development thought leaders including coach and author, Anthony Robbins (Tony Robbins). Gather, swap stories, and learn even more motivational techniques while you are building an outstanding peer group. We strive to give PowerTeam members an outstanding return on their investment of time and effort. Every month, we have guests join us to offer information on a variety of topics of interest to high performers -- health and fitness, nutrition, finances, relationships, careers, overall mental well-being, etc. Other activities include goal-setting exercises, coaching support and social and professional networking opportunities. We also engage in annual charitable activities including the Anthony Robbins Foundation's Basket Brigade campaign to feed families in need. Last year, we fed more than 1,000 people in our own communities. Want to help make that even better this year? For more details, check out our website at:
