## About Us

Welcome to the Bangalore ADHD & Neurodivergent Meetup Group — an inclusive community connecting people with ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence across Bangalore and India.
Our core focus is ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder), while also welcoming autistic people, people with AuDHD (Autism + ADHD), and people with other forms of neurodivergence.
We believe that neurodivergent people have unique ways of thinking, creating, experiencing the world and solving problems. At the same time, ADHD and neurodivergence can bring real challenges in everyday life, including work, education, relationships, organisation, motivation, emotional regulation, routines and social connection.
Our goal is to create a welcoming, supportive and non-judgemental community where people can meet others who understand their experiences, share what has worked for them, discover new perspectives and build meaningful connections.

## What We Do

Our meetups are primarily about community, connection and shared experiences.
Depending on the meetup, activities may include:

• ☕ Casual online social hangouts and virtual coffee chats
• 🎤 Talks and speaker sessions about ADHD and neurodiversity
• 🛠️ Practical workshops and collaborative learning
• 📚 Discussions about books, research, podcasts and new ideas
• 🎮 Games and activities that make social connection easier
• 🤝 Body-doubling, co-working and accountability sessions
• 🌱 Conversations about work, relationships, routines and personal growth
• 🇮🇳 Connecting neurodivergent people and communities across India

Members are encouraged to suggest topics, activities and meetup formats that would make the community more useful and enjoyable.

## Online First — Growing Into a Local Community

Although Meetup requires us to select a specific location and this group is listed under Bangalore, our vision is broader.
We are building an India-wide community, with online meetups making it possible for people from different cities to participate and connect.
As our membership grows, we plan to gradually develop opportunities for in-person community meetups in different cities.
For example, members in cities such as:
Bangalore • Chennai • Pondicherry • Coimbatore
may eventually be able to organise regular local gatherings, alongside the online community.
The aim is to have approximately one physical community meetup per month in cities where we have enough active members and local interest, rather than limiting the community to a single city.
These gatherings may be informal social meetups, coffee chats, discussions, walks, games, workshops or other activities suggested by members.
You do not need to live in Bangalore to participate in the online community. As the community develops, we hope members across India will be able to connect both online and face-to-face.

## A Community Built by Its Members

We want this to be a place where people can connect without constantly having to explain themselves.
Come as you are. Meet people who understand. Share your experience. Learn together.
The founder has personal and practical experience navigating ADHD diagnosis and support across different healthcare systems and countries, as well as experience participating in individual and group ADHD coaching programmes.
This experience helps inform some of the themes and discussions explored within the group. However, the Meetup is fundamentally a community space, and members are encouraged to contribute their own experiences, perspectives, questions and ideas.
This group is intended for community building, peer connection, learning and shared experiences. It is not a substitute for medical, psychological or psychiatric care.
