High Beginner Line Dance meetup on Tuesdays

Dear Line Dance Friends,

The High BEGINNER Line Dance meetup will be at the Urban Dance Studio (Prasarnmit Plaza) every week on Tuesdays from 10AM to 11:30AM. This is a fun way to get some exercise while practicing line dancing steps, moving to music and having fun together.

This meetup group knows around 20 Line Dances and encourages new people to come and try them. The dances are demonstrated in a simple and easy way, in relaxed sessions. You will have fun.

Our gatherings are informal practice sessions where we revisit favorite dances and move together as a group.

The meetups are hosted by Bep, Dave and/or Mae, who discovered their love of line dancing years ago and enjoy bringing people together to share the fun.

Participants share the studio rental cost for each session, currently at ฿200 per person.

About us
We are a small, friendly social group who enjoy dancing together in a relaxed and informal setting.
This group is open to anyone who likes to try line dancing, or already knows some dances and wants to keep practicing. We welcome Thai and international dancers, and visitors to Bangkok are very welcome too.

There are no formal teachers. Some participants take turns as Reviewers, helping to demonstrate and review dances with the group. If you have learned a dance somewhere else, please bring it along and share it with us!
Line dancing is not only a fun way to get some exercise. It is also the art of dance, bringing music, movement, rhythm and expression together.

💰 Our Open Books
Participants share the studio rental cost for each session. We are a volunteer group, and nobody is paid for reviewing or demonstrating dances. Any surplus is donated to a Thai charity chosen by the group.

We also meet on Thursdays and Saturdays. The Thursday meetup is for somewhat experienced dancers who are comfortable with common step patterns. It is an Intermediate Line Dance session from 10AM to 11:30AM at the Urban Dance Studio.

The Saturday meetup is for more experienced High Intermediate Line Dancers, for dancers who are confident with faster-paced routines. The meeting is at the Urban Dance Studio from 10:30AM to 12noon.
If you enjoy music, movement, and good company, you are very welcome to join us.
Please remember that you do need to sign up in advance on this website or in the LINE group every time, it will help me get our sessions streamlined.

DIRECTIONS:
From BTS and MRT take the Asoke Montri Exit. Walk North on Asoke Montri road towards Petchbury road. At the first crossing turn right and walk down the soi (Sino-Thai Building on the right corner of the crossing). On the left just before the next crossing is Prasarnmit Plaza Building (Max Value Supermarket on the left corner). Take the stairs in the center of the building to the 4th floor, step out on the roof en turn left. Take the stairs around the corner up to the Urban Dance studio.
