This time we're following Thailand's very first paved road Charoenkrung, ending up at the outskirts of Chinatown. Along the way we can expect to pass by the Old bangrak fire department, the magnificent Old Post Office, the remaining very first houses along the road, a cute and quiet mosque, a temple school, the imposing Assumption Cathedral, the Mandarin Hotel, the first permanent embassy in Bangkok, the Sieng Kong zone (aka the Metal Mountains), a brilliant selection of amazing street art and much more. For many decades this part of town has been slumbering, but in recent years it has very much come alive again!! The Bangkokian museum and more. Total distance will be about 4km, so it will probably finish in 3 hours. In case of rain (or shine), best bring the necessary clothing and/or attributes (cap, umbrella, water bottle...). Please bring 300 THB for your tour guide. The refreshments along the route can be paid individually, as you see fit. And ... as with every other previous walk, we would like to ask to PLEASE leave home on time. When that should be, depends on where you live, but unless you live nearby, we suggest leaving AT LEAST an hour beforehand. The guide can wait for 5 minutes but then the group will leave. Enjoy the walk
