What we’re about
Bar Socrates is an English conversation group with a philosophical theme. You don't need to have done any formal study of philosophy, Socrates himself never did. The idea is to stretch your mind by talking about ideas rather than talking about people or even personal experiences
For each meeting we will select a topic to discuss. If you have any ideas for topics, feel free to suggest them to one of the organisers but keep in mind that we try to choose topics which have two sides to the debate.
There are some slight changes to the previous rounds, as past patrons of the Bar might notice.
- we'll start with a short introduction into our topic of the evening, to get the conversation structured and started
- we'll be having a fixed location in the Cabanyal
