Put on your sunglasses, hide your rebellious vinyl records from the KGB, and prepare for a night of smoky kitchen debates about rock music and politics that would make any Soviet authority nervous 🎸

Join us and our friend, historian Sergey Nikolsky, as we dive into the world behind Leto (Summer, 2018) — Kirill Serebrennikov's Cannes-acclaimed love letter to the Leningrad rock scene. Together we'll meet young Viktor Tsoi, Mike Naumenko, and the musicians who transformed Soviet youth culture long before they became icons.
We'll talk about what really happened, what was reinvented for the screen, and why the Leningrad Rock Club became one of the defining cultural phenomena of the 1980s, foreshadowing the brief era of freedom that was soon to come.
