What we’re about
This group is the antidote to the modern condition.
Recent developments of typical human behaviour have severely diverted from the evolutionary path going back many millenia upon millenia. So severely that our bodies and minds do not really know how to keep up. Not only do we move significantly less and spend significantly more time in unusual postures, but we actually have developed strange notions of what it means to move.
We no longer typically move as a spontaneous expression of what we fundamentally are, but we think of ‘exercise’ as a means to an end.
With this outlook, we have developed a strange outside-in process aiming to yield results such as ‘fitness’, ‘mobility’ and ‘health’, rather than the simple act of relishing in our union with spontaneous existence, where movement is fundamental to the very ‘stuff’ we are made of.
Nothing, yes - nothing, can be still. Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle showed this many years ago. You cannot stop moving, no matter how hard you try. So what are we? This question has been sadly delegated to the so-called intellectual, chin-stroking philosophers of the world, when we truly have every reason and opportunity to explore the possible answers in every moment with nothing other than this experience right now.
When we understand the instruments that we have for investigating and fortifying our intrinsic nature - the body-mind continuum - and when we understand how to use them, then meditating for as long as we please and developing peak human physicalities become paths
of deeply meaningful play; driven simply by childlike curiosity extrapolated to the level of the adult.
We are the most complex beings known to us and consciousness is perhaps the most curious and mysterious cosmic occurrence. Isn’t that just beautiful?
This group is about exploring this fact head on, as the cosmonauts of our own here and now, with the body-mind as our primary vehicle - as process known as 'intrinsic nature fortification'
