Basel AI & Vibe Coding Club

Hey there, I'm Jason, from the UK, now living just across the German border close to Basel, and I am obsessed with vibe coding and would like to meet others who are too! Whether you’re already building things, keen to get started or simply curious, you’re welcome here.

I’m starting this group to meet people, share projects and ideas, and chat about what’s happening in the industry. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned, as I work in the AI industry, and I’d love to learn from you too—especially on the more technical side!

The idea is simple: relaxed, informal meetups in and around Basel. Nothing is set in stone yet. We’ll find a venue and shape the meetups together based on what people are interested in.

We’ll meet to:
• Chat about AI tools and how we’re using them.
• Share side projects, experiments and plans.
• Swap tips, ask questions and help each other get unstuck.
• Meet people with similar interests and find others to build with.

Bring your laptop if you’d like to show something or work on an idea. Coming along just for a chat is equally welcome.

There’s no need to prepare a presentation or have a finished project. Beginners and experienced developers are all welcome—just bring your curiosity and leave the sales pitches at home.

If you’re new to vibe coding, I’m happy to help you get started, including taking a project from running on your own computer to something other people can use online.

Once we’re up and running, I’m thinking of meeting monthly, or more often if there’s enough interest.

Our main language will be English. People from Basel and across the nearby French and German borders are very welcome.
