About us
A group for building connections and community together through a variety of activities such as walking groups, card/board game evenings, after Parkrun breakfast, reading clubs, and a variety of other sport and social gatherings.
The idea is to build an inclusive community to combat isolation and support each other in a wide variety of shared interests (excluding drinking/parties).
A no fee group, there is an optional place to donate towards yearly costs if so inclined. We operate an open policy for showing incoming and outgoings through the BCMS Expense Tracker application.
Do note, there is a no-show policy in place whereby if you are marked as a no-show 3 times without further communicating with us, you will not be able to book on events until a discussion is held with an organiser. In addition, if you have not accessed the group in over 6 months, you will be removed from the group with option to rejoin.

Social Run - (Run Talk Run)
Sainsbury's, 1, 2 Station Mall, Basingstoke RG21 7DW, UK, Basingstoke, GBI volunteer with a charity that promotes mental health through sport. One activity we do it Run Talk Run: a gentle 5km group run where we run and chat together, or just come to run with no pressure.
This will be a free, regular 5km run, starting on Thursday 8th October, meeting at 5.45pm and setting off at 6pm. All abilities are welcome.
Location: Entrance to The Malls, opposite Sainsbury's (near the candy floss machine)
Because I am organising this run is on behalf on behalf of a charity, all I ask is that you register on the main event page here first Run Talk Run Registration (apologies for for directing you to another page), but this will covers me for insurance.

Thursday Night Bowl (October)
Superbowl, Festival Place, RG21 7BA, Basingstoke, GB15 total spots available, first paid from waitlist, first added to remaining spots.
Come join us for a game of bowling at Superbowl in Festival Place.
You can either wear your own shoes or use the bowling shoes. If using bowling shoes, please arrive 15 minutes early.
Option to stick around after the game for some arcade games or, if there is a lane available, to pay for a second game.
£3.29 per person per game to be paid in advance via this payment link. Payment must be received no later than 1 week in advance; otherwise, you will be moved to the waitlist.
Only 1 game will be booked for the wider group; however, those who wish to play two can discuss amongst themselves and pay on the day, if a lane is available, after the group event.
To note, if you cancel less than 1 week before, unless we can use your spot in the second game, I cannot offer a refund. This is because I must prepay for the lanes.
